Initial Ideas:
Theme:
I have explored each theme: travel, memory, mental health. With mental health, I found it difficult to find ideas for it as it is such a sensitive subject and I do not want to offend anyone. However the theme memory was a lot easier to think ideas for because I could think of memories that I personally have and use them for a story line. I found it easier to think of ideas for travel as I found many words associated with the word travel. I also felt that I could make more stories with this theme and make it relatable to myself as I do travel a lot on a daily basis.
The theme I have decided to use is travel. The reason why I have chosen this theme is because I feel more confident working with it as there are so many different ways you can use this theme. For instance, I could make a film about: traveling the world, use of transport or different cultures. These are all very interesting to me so I wanted to use a theme that I find interesting so I would look forward to doing the work.

I researched film that are the theme of travel and it came up with these films:
The similarity these films have between them is the genre. The genre for these films are adventure and/or comedy. I think this theme is used with these genre of films because travel is a symbol of adventure as it is one of the words that associates with the word travel (as shown in my mind-map). So it is fairly easy to use this genre for this theme. However, comedy is used because these particular films are about a road trip or people on holiday which is the perfect story lines to have comedic events happen in them as lot could happen or go wrong.

Story line:
Three 17/18 year old girls are in a car driving to a party as the sun is starting to set. They are all singing to the radio on a deserted road where no houses or cars are to be seen. Suddenly the car hits something. All of the excitement has left their faces and they are all stunned to what just happened. One of the passengers braves up to look what they hit but she never returns to the car. The other two girls are scared to why she hasn't come back so they go look for her. Walking around with just the flash from their phones as their only light source, the two girls are screaming for their friend but they don't get a response. With no signal, the two girls walk back to the car to drive to get help. As they walk back they soon realise the car is gone. They are so shocked they say nothing. As they are standing in complete silence they suddenly hear a scream from a far distance. They run towards it hoping its their friend. As they get closer they see her laying on the floor in a field with a cut on her neck and no heart beat. Distraught to what they see a mysterious figure appears behind them shaped like a person and they hold a knife to one of the girls necks. The screen suddenly turns black and all you can hear is the knife slicing through the two girls necks.
